Ethernet and Linux development set for Nios

Altera Corporation, supplier of programmable logic devices (PLD), offers a Sopc design solution for ExcaliburT’s embedded ARM9-based elaboration products.

The availability of the new EPXA10 products, based on ARM9 and part of Altera’s Excalibur embedded elaboration solution, is part of Altera’s SPOC strategy and it enables the integration of the whole system on a single chip with embedded programmable logic, peripherals, memory and processors.

Altera has also officialised the availability of a Nios powered elaboration core, destined to reference projects, Ethernet connectivity functions and Internet access, supporting Linux’s operative system.
