Electrosmog observatoryA permanent observatory will be set up for the control of the impact of electromagnetic waves on the territory of the province of Rome; the president, Silvano Moffa, made the official announcement at the end of an extraordinary seating of the province Council.
The province has for some time been engaged in the control and individuation of the risks connected with electrosmog, through cooperation with the three universities and the scientific committee to which the measurements on the impact of electromagnetic waves refer to; the project enters into the strategy of control for the phenomenon to ensure an adequate knowledge of the institutions and the resident population.
The municipalities concerned by this initiatives, localised in the set area, are reunited in an institutional committee for the environmental protection of the territory; the setting up of an institutional coordination between the Ministry of the Environment, Region, Province and local bodies is the request made to the Lazio Region, as well as the elimination of the antennas and the pylons on the mounts of the territory, often installed without prior authorization.
