Environment: Electrolux and WWF

The home appliance is one of the products that has contributed the most to improve on quality of life, and with this consideration the Electrolux group, which has taken to heart the environmental problem, has as always been committed to improve families’ life with its products. This spirit has, ever since 1993, led them to have ecology as the leading principle among strategic values of reference within the entire Group for years to come. The commitment of the company towards more environment-friendly home appliances has promoted intervention in all stages of the cycle: birth, life and death of products.

It is within this context that the collaboration with WWF becomes tangible; an agreement which is especially a common purpose in promoting both the projects of the Environmentalist Association for a sustainable development, and new and more aware approaches of responsibility and choice, achieved using various tools aimed at increasing the sensitivity of public opinion, such as the diffusion of a manual of eco-advice, containing useful information.
