A complete line for SMT

Siemens' Dematic AG division
, based in Nuremberg (Germany) specialized in manufacturing line development for PCB , has prepared a system of placing and soldering for microchips without connectors, on flexible supports.

This new manufacturing line combines the use of Siemens' Siplace S machines (capable of inserting up to 25.000 pieces an hour) with continuous soldering process. The system operates with chips from 1 square millimetres to 25 square millimetres, called COB (Chip On Board) with surface mount technology (SMT).

The soldering takes place in gas atmosphere. Infrared radiators for heat transference and special units for measurement and control ensure that the system works at specific temperatures.
