Accent and SABER announced that they are forming an alliance that will provide customers a complete solution for integrated circuit (IC) implementation. Accent, the joint venture of STMicroelectronics and Cadence Design Systems, is a leading provider of electronic design services and platform-level intellectual property (IP) while SABER, a business unit of a subsidiary of Schlumberger Limited, provides engineering outsourcing and professional project management services for the semiconductor industry. By working together, Accent and SABER become the first team in Europe to offer a full complement of design and test engineering services for efficient and faster integrated circuit development.Accent offers a full range of electronic design services from system level architectural analysis to silicon implementation, together with advanced platform level intellectual property and state-of-the-art design methodology. SABER provides a wide range of test engineering services to bring new devices from silicon to high volume production faster. These services include test methodology consultation, device validation and characterization, and silicon debug and repair to ramp devices to production quickly and economically.
