Project Eolo

Eolo was created from a patent by Guy Negre, a formula 1 motor engineer, and it is the first car to be powered by an engine fuelled with compressed air for a final emission from the exhaust of just fresh air.

The aluminium chassis does not generate a combustion, it exploits air expansion. As there is no flame in the engine the operating temperature never exceeds 40 C° and this means, as well as the total riddance of noxious exhaust fumes, a remarkable diminution of the engine's mechanical wear, the increase of the propeller's life cycle and reduction of maintenance costs.

Manufacturing in Italy, marketed by the Mdi corporation, will be started at the first plant, based in Rieti for an annual production of 8.000 cars. Other 9 production plants will follow for which sites have already found a location.

The Eolo mono-energy engine, available in four versions, will be equipped with this engine in bi-cylindrical version of 25Cv 576 cc, will have a 200 Km range with a top speed of 100 Km/h, with an average power of 0,77 euro per 100 Km.
