Timken Company, an International corporation with offices in 24 countries with over 19.300 employees in the world and which operates in the sctor of components and engineered bearings, has announced the acquisition of Lecheres Industries, for the inclusion of affiliated Bamarec in Timken's 'precision components in steel' department.Bamarec, based in France with two branches and 190 employees, in the field of precision components for the car and industrial sector, closed year 2000 with a turnover of 20 million dollars; today Bamarec represents for Timken the solid productive base in the old continent for the development of consolidation and expansion of the group in the European context.
Timken, leading company in the precision components field can boast, in over 100 years of corporate history, an exclusive heritage of skills in the choice of materials such as productive processes; as well as a production derived from base elements, piping and steel bars, without welding. According to the declarations of Mark J. Samolczyk, chairman of Timken's 'precision components in steel section', the acquisition operation must be read in an European prospective of implementation of pre-existing structures with Bamarec's essential technological and production contribution.
