Positive figures for Italian automotive companies
Carlo Sinceri, Chairman of the National association among automotive industries, commenting figures concerning registrations for the month of October, pointed out the climate of satisfaction for the unexpected raise in sales, albeit expressing an invitation to caution in the evaluation of development for 2002. Among commercial levers that have allowed the favourable ongoing in October, Sinceri places the decisive strategies carried out by automotive companies: eased financing, new commercial offers and rate zero payments.Figures for 2001 predict a sales volume of 2.4 million units; a quota that is not dissimilar from sales in 2000, placing Italy at the second place in a European chart and fourth on a world scale. Uncertainties raise for market expectations in 2002 aimed mostly at a decline with a forecast around 2.2 million vehicles. From a quantity analysis relative to the month of October in Italy there were 72.912 registrations, with an increase compared to the world market equal to +8.5%, increasing the market share from 35.7% to 36%.
