At the end of September Pepperl+Fuchs Elcon has officially opened its new operational branch in Mezzago, in the North-East of Milan. The company, set up in January 2001 through the acquisition of Elcon Instruments, an Italian company specialised in intrinsic security and anti-explosion equipment, by German multinational Pepperl+Fuchs.
What used to be, up to a few months ago, just the Italian branch of the German Group has now become a true headquarters for the multinational, with Mannheim (Germany), Twinsburg (USA) and Singapore.
This is a position that was reached also owing to the flattering results reached in this year’s first semester: sales for 20 billion lira and human resources increase consequent to the merger.
The company has also increased its territorial competence expanding to the whole Mediterranean area (including North Africa, East Adriatic and Turkey), and the new Republics facing the Caspian sea as well as Russian republics.
