Johnson Controls becomes European

Johnson Controls, leading company in the International automotive systems market – one of the major suppliers of seats, internal systems and batteries – and of management and control of the activities, has concluded two previously announced acquisitions: the electronic-automotive company of Sagem SA and the German car batteries manufacturing company, Hoppecke Automotive GmbH & Co. KG.

With this operation, French Sagem brings its automotive electronic experience to complement Johnson Controls, expanding its electronic capacity in Europe. Hoppecke, on the other hand, supplies Johnson Controls with new technologies for the batteries, which will permit the company to be avant-garde in the industrial conversion of 42 volt automotive systems.
