Heatshrinkable double wall sheathsTyco Electronics has introduced on the market the FL 2500. These are double wall flame retarding sheaths. These sheaths are based on an adhesive high-performance hot-melts material, flame retarding, with perfect adherence and excellent mechanical, sealing and protection properties.
Double-wall sheaths, with their adhesive internal surface, offer an economical and safe method to seal permanently and preserve joints, fuse connections, terminals and line components. In the stage during which the sheaths heat up and shrink on their guests, the adhesive lining melts and goes to fill all the interstices so as to create a safe barrier against moisture, oils, chemical products and then, solidifying, it seals.
FL2500s are double wall heatshrinkable sheaths, made up of reticulated polyolefin, heat retarded, with the addition of the new adhesive, also heat retarded. They have been created so as to offer an optimal solution for use conditions where LFH products are preferred or specifically required. Tested at 135° C for a time of 3000 hours, the product has resulted suitable for use in the market of automobile cabling and in hard conditions environments.
