96% of shares from Polar, based in Poland, was acquired by Whirlpool. According tho the terms of the transaction, ratified by the French Trade Tribunal and being examined by the Polish government, Whirlpool will pay 24 million dollars for the acquisition and will pay off debts for around 19 million dollars.
Within the second quarter 2002 the ownership transfer should be concluded.
