Software Ag, proceeds flyThe well-known system software manufacturer increased its proceeds by 56% in the second trimester 2001, reaching 159,1 million euro, and by 46% in the first half of 2001 compared to the same period in the year before.
The best Software Ag performance is recorded in its core business: software sales have increased by 88%, a result that can attributed to the growth of corporate products (+38% compared to the second trimester of 2000) and especially to the explosion of those brought on by the development of electronic commerce. In a single year the latter went from being 27% to 44% of total proceeds.
According to internal forecasts, the positive ongoing of the first half of 2001 in Software Ag's accounts will continue throughout the whole tax year, for which the company expects a proceeds growth higher than 45% and a better result for operative margin.
