Automation picks up

Indications from Hannover (Hannover Messe 2002) suggest that a financial reprise in the automation sector in Europe is currently underway.
As far as the German event is concerned we can say that there have been 6.926 exhibitors of which over 350 Italian (in 2001 they were respectively 6.924 and over 500). From the available figures we can approximate in 250.000 the visitors to this event.

The adoption of new technologies, which by now has been concretely started by many industries in the sector in the past few months is one of the reasons that induce cautious optimism at this point.  The transformation in industrial solutions brought about by the intelligent interaction between mechanics, electrotechnics and IT in production technique is today a reality, and is leading to financial results of great importance.
