Asita recently introduced the new insulation gauge, model 3154. This is a bench tool with six programmable testing voltages (25 V, 50 V, 100 V, 250 V, 500 V and 1.000 V), to satisfy the various testing/valuation requirements of electric and electronic components and circuits.

Depending on the testing voltage selected, there are various resistance measurement scales available, ranging from 0-2,0 M up to 200,0 M for testing voltages of 25 V and 50 V, risgin up to 4.000 M with testing voltage of 1.000 V.
This tool permits the storage of ten different testing conditions entered by the operator, allowing a fast selection on the basis of what is required by various regulations.

The possible test programming concerns the level of voltage, threshold values and measure capacity and they can be recalled, and loaded in the tools' operating system, simply pressing the "LOAD" key, thus making measurements easier and quicker.
To automate the "testing" process, the tool is equipped with a serial interface RS232C and I/O interface, thus obtaining the possibility to remote control the tool from PLC or via computer.

Serial output RS232C also enables the connection to an optional printer, mod. 9442, to obtain the print of testing reports.
Owing to high measurement response, just 0,7 s in "FAST" mode (with ten samplings per second), the tool can carry out testing also during production, enabling the optimisation of process times.
