This type of rectifier enables the production of soldering irons that operate at a higher frequency and therefore reduce size and cost of the more bulky components (transformers and bobbin). Models 80EBU02, 150EBU02, 80EBU04 and 150EBU04 are available with Powertab container.
They work up to 80 A and they reduce the parallelism form three to two. They are particularly suited for arch welding applications with high currents because they carry inside a large fin at the top of the anode, which permits the linking of various wires for connection with the chip, improving direct power fall-out characteristics as well as the ability to withstand transients up to 1600 A.
