Fluke multimeters

Fluke Europe B.V. has introduced the models 183 and 185 digital multimeters.

The new Fluke 180 Series, consists of four high-performance multimeters to meet the needs of the most demanding plant maintenance, electrical, electronic, control and process technicians and engineers.

The new 183 and 185 display's size immediately stands out clearly. Extra large dual- reading display with large digits and an analog bargraph. It provides simultaneous readouts of different measurements, such as true-rms AC + DC and Hertz, dB and volts and more, in an easy to read format. The green LED backlight, makes this display readable in dark environments.

AC+DC True rms measurements, a 50,.000 count display and 0.05% basic DC accuracy (0.07% for model 183) ensure that all signals are measured in detail and accurately. The extended ranges allow the user to measure resistance up to 50Mohm, capacitance up 50,.000 m F and frequencies up to 1MHz.

In addition to this temperature (185 only), dB (185 only), duty cycle, continuity and diode measurement possibilities make the model 183 and 185 truly versatile multimeters for all applications. Model 185 provides percentage readouts for 4-20mA process loop calibration.

The optional FlukeView Forms software can be used for documenting test procedures for new equipment installation, meeting regulatory guidelines, and for tracking maintenance histories. It also allows the user to monitor the meter’s display life on a computer screen and monitor and log signal variations and trends "real time".

Both models allow up to 10 (183) or 30 (185) readings to be stored in a none-volatile memory. These stored readings can later be used as a reference for relative measurements or can be downloaded to a computer, using the optional FlukeView Forms software for documenting, analyzing or reporting purposes.
